China’s timber imports from Africa grow

In the first four months, China's imports of African timber have shown significant growth.
According to customs data, the total import volume in the first four months surged by 19%, reaching 966,000 cubic meters, and the trade volume also increased by 13%, totaling as much as 310 million US dollars.
Among African exporting countries, Gabon continues to rank first with an export volume of 272,000 cubic meters, with a growth rate of 85%, followed by Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa and Ghana, all with growth rates of more than 70%. (Source: wood168.net)
