The spacing between the rollers of the veneer drying. Technically speaking, the roller spacing from the axis to the axis of the 4 deck roller dryer is 330mm. The upper and lower air ducts are laid between the front and rear rollers. If the roller spacing is too large, the veneer will run unsteadily inside the dryer, and the front edge of the veneer is easy to get stuck. This may also be one of the reasons for the veneer drying out.

On another level, if the foundation is not leveled during the early installation of the dryer, the dryer is unbalanced as a whole, which may cause the rollers to be not completely on a horizontal line, causing the veneer to run unsteadily in the dryer.

In addition, during the drying process of the veneer, the moisture at the edge of the veneer evaporates faster than the middle part, and the shrinkage and deformation of the edge part are restricted by the middle part. Therefore, the edge of the veneer is prone to ripples and sometimes cracks.
